PERSONALIZED PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINING

What is Personalized Professional Dog Training (PPDT)

This is a cost-effective solution for dog owners who would like our professional dog trainers to train their dogs for them for any of the following reasons.

• Don't have the time, opportunity, knowledge, or patience to train your dog or 
• You have physical limitations.
• Would like more customized dog training that meets your needs.
• Would like to address certain training or behavioral issues that do not include aggression. 

Dog training sessions can be held in the home, at our facility, or out and about depending on the behaviors we are working on. Drop-off day training is also possible.  This option allows our trainers to really customize training and address the individual needs of clients. In-home, off-site, and drop-off appointments are available. To learn more about this option please email or call us. Sessions may last up to 90 minutes. Call us to discuss your personal needs. Currently, we do not offer board and train options.

The number of sessions required to achieve your goals will depend on the behaviors you want your dog to learn, the age of your dog, the level of fluency you need, and how fast your dog learns. Keep in mind that learned behaviors must be maintained by owners after training. When most of your dog's training is complete, our dog trainers will work with you in a private coaching session to transfer skills, show you what you need to do to maintain your dog's training, and discuss how to generalize your dog's training moving forward. Sessions may be held at our facility, around the Canon City area or in your home.

The trainer will make every reasonable effort to help clients achieve training and/or behavior modification goals but will not guarantee results after professional training is completed. Dogs are living beings, therefore no one can ethically guarantee their behavior under all circumstances. There is no way to know that owners will follow through with our recommendations, suggestions, and protocols. If they don't, the behavior may not improve or it may relapse.

​We may refuse services for dog-to-dog or stranger aggression cases that resulted in the following:

• Injuries to a person or another animal that had deep puncture wounds or had to be stitched or stapled or caused serve injuries or death or there are young or at-risk children in the household. We may be able to offer a referral in these types of cases.
• We do not take severe separation anxiety cases but may be able to offer a referral.
